Lisette Venegas

Lisette Venegas is a seasoned educator and advocate with over 20 years of experience supporting multilingual learners and promoting inclusive education. As the Secondary Multilingual Programs Manager for the Verona Area School District, she leads initiatives focused on advancing bilingual education, empowering students, and strengthening family engagement.
Lisette holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, ESL, and Religious Studies, and a Master’s degree in Reading and Special Education from the University of Miami. She also earned an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership, along with Bilingual Certification and Instructional Coach certifications from Edgewood College.
Her dedication to multilingual education has been recognized through conference presentations at La Cosecha, WIDA, and WIABE. In 2018, she was named Educator of the Year by the Wisconsin Association for Bilingual Education (WIABE). Beyond her professional work, Lisette is actively involved in community initiatives that support youth development and educational access. She is committed to creating spaces where multilingual students can thrive and succeed.
